The Institute for Workforce Education and Development Ltd. (IWED) was established in 2005 to focus and further develop Manpower and Maintenance Services Limited’s strength in workforce training to benefit the wider society.
The Institute has positioned itself as a multi-faceted education and training institution, offering a variety of education and training programmes to empower trainees and to satisfy labour demands in a number of industries.
As the premier workforce training and development institution in Jamaica, IWED trains and certifies students to succeed in the workplace by offering several short-term courses using experiential learning guided by qualified and dedicated instructors.
IWED has established a reputation for delivering quality training in various disciplines to government and private sector organizations and institutions.
The training facilities are ideally located in Kingston, Mandeville, and Montego Bay.
IWED also offers the 6th Form Pathway Programme sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Youth. The programmes are FREE.

FOUNDER OF IWED
IWED was founded by M. Audrey Stewart-Hinchcliffe, Chairman and former Chief Executive Officer of Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited Group (MMS) which includes: Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited, Manpower & Maintenance Business Services Limited (MMBS), and Manpower & Maintenance Services Foundation. She also Chairs the M’Power Women’s Group which she founded to uplift women through work and education; and is the founder and principal of Caribbean Health Management Consultants Ltd. (CHMC), her first business venture.
